Welcome to the November 2022 issue of Living. Loving. Growing. online magazine!

Last month’s predominantly visual magazine presented a handful of technical challenges, creating the need for an intermission before moving forward with my video collection of Italy and Croatia. Nonetheless, travel remains at the forefront of my musings.

Throughout October my adventures continued stateside, falling neatly into the theme of “Beaches and Birthdays.” Myrtle Beach. St. George Island. Family. Friends. Relaxation. Adventure. Mother Nature at her finest. A dash of magic for good measure!

Who doesn’t love Mother Nature and a dash of magic?

Wishing you all the best,
Erin Hart

Beaches and Birthdays (Pt. 1)

One might think I’d prefer to skip the beach during my offseason travels, or that I’d find those lacking in white sand and teal water to be underwhelming. Both assumptions would be false.

I love beaches. Period.

Early in October I joined my family in Myrtle Beach,...

Beaches and Birthdays (Pt. 2)

The end of October ushered forth a second birthday beach excursion with my dear friend Cindie. By then I’d managed to muster up renewed energy for exploration, which was key since we were headed to an island that was totally new to me. I knew next to nothing about St....

Dolphin Magic

Dolphins at the beach. Definitely awesome. But magic? Oh, yes. Read on, my friends.

Song Download: Sweet Life (Ocean 98.1)

I explain in “Never Boring” that I’ve developed a recent longing for non-love-and-heartbreak songs. Not because I don’t enjoy them, but because there are so many other facets of life that offer inspiration for art and creativity. I’d have to guess there are an awful...

Never Boring: November 2022 Soundtrack

Another lifetime ago when people still made mix tapes, someone close to me explained that music was the soundtrack to our lives and he didn’t want my soundtrack to be boring. Every month, I will curate a Spotify playlist inspired by the latest issue of Living....

Track Highlight

"I-I-I got this feeling in my soul
Go ahead and throw your stones
‘Cause there’s magic in my bones"*

You know I love me that magic. So you can imagine that magic plus music is ABSOLUTELY a winning combo in my book! Needless to say, that’s one of the things that made this...

Prompted: By More Than Just Love Songs

Behind ‘Prompted”: In July 2020, I was approached by an intern at PBS and asked to take part in their creative video series, “American Portrait.” The concept was simply to create a 20-60 second video of any kind that responded to the prompt, "At This Point in My...

Good for a Giggle

This one doesn’t fit the “theme.” No birthdays or beaches involved (though you can technically see a beach in the distance). Just a recent chuckle-worthy moment.

It’s not the first time I’ve shared cat bloopers from failed...

Tools and the Takeaway

In conclusion…

1. Birthdays and beaches = winning combo. Highly recommend!

2. Birthdays and resolutions = a long hard look in the mirror. Less highly recommended.

3. If you prefer some variety in your tunes, skip “The Pulse” for a beat.

4. Problems can propel you towards...
