Welcome to the August 2023 issue of Living. Loving. Growing. online magazine!

Hey, you guys…It happened! The month I’ve been swearing would eventually come, but never had. The month where I finally got to SLOW DOWN. Let me tell you, it has been glorious! I recognize that my idea of slowing down may look very different than you might expect (in fact, some of you may think I’m nuts when you continue reading) but it has been everything that I hoped and dreamed it would be. And from the looks of it, next month will be a lot more of the same. Woohoo!!

Wishing you all the best,
Erin Hart

Laying Down the Bass

Getting the new singles recorded has been a longer process than I initially anticipated. But I now believe that’s for the best. I caught myself making an error that I think could’ve been critical if gone unchecked...

Never Boring: August 2023 Soundtrack

Another lifetime ago when people still made mix tapes, someone close to me explained that music was the soundtrack to our lives and he didn’t want my soundtrack to be boring...

Track Highlight

It’s a funny thing sharing this tune as my track highlight, because I only know a small piece of the song, but I know it by heart. “Where You Lead,” by Carole King is the theme song for the hit show “Gilmore Girls.”...

Prompted: By Slow Down

Behind ‘Prompted”: In July 2020, I was approached by an intern at PBS and asked to take part in their creative video series, “American Portrait.” The concept was simply to create a 20-60 second video of any kind that responded to the prompt...

Tools and the Takeaway

Slow down. Be patient. Trust the process. Believe in possibilities. Look for the magic. Do what makes you feel alive.
