Welcome to the May 2023 DOUBLE ISSUE of Living. Loving. Growing. online magazine!

In my humble opinion, this is my most exciting issue yet! Not only do I have another BRAND NEW SONG to share (“The Mountain”), but I also have behind-the-scenes content from my long-awaited return to a PROFESSIONAL RECORDING STUDIO. It’s been five years since my last professionally produced EP. I never imagined it would take this long to get back at it, but somehow the timing feels just right because there is finally a studio here on St. John! I could not be happier and can’t wait to show you what I’ve been up to.

Wishing you all the best,
Erin Hart

Learn From Those Who’ve Been There

I have already loved working with Allen Clapp, and this is only the beginning! There is so much more to come on this project, and hopefully many more in the future. He’s been part of the professional music scene for quite some time and I’m excited to learn from him....

Enjoy It All As You Go

The entire two-day experience at Coral Star Studio was fantastic, but the second day was made even more amazing when my friend Hillary was able to join me. The intention was to have her there to collect content and catch all those good “behind the scenes” moments....

A Lot to See Along the Road

It feels like such a big deal to be back in the studio. It would be easy to let that experience trump all the other highlights of the last two months. However, there were many other magical moments in April and May, as well. It’s important to me to celebrate them too....

Song Download: Teddy’s Song (BBH Version – Guitar)

This is my second attempt at recording in my apartment and I’m pretty pleased with the result. It’s a tricky process and I’m still learning the ropes. The most complicated element is noise pollution. My apartment is tiny and sound proofing isn’t really an option...

Good For a Giggle

“Good for a Face Palm” might be more accurate for this month’s tale.
After working out all the kinks in the click track process, we sat down to record my guitar for “Endless Summer State of Mind.” This one was going to be easy!...

Never Boring: May 2023 Soundtrack

Another lifetime ago when people still made mix tapes, someone close to me explained that music was the soundtrack to our lives and he didn’t want my soundtrack to be boring...

Track Highlight

Although children have never been my primary target audience, it is entirely commonplace for them to engage with me during a gig. Sometimes that’s because their parents bring them up to the mic. More often...
